Information on online ordering

General information

The ordering of brochures from the Association of German Banks via internet is based on a so-called shopping-basket system. You can take your time and move around the different brochure ordering pages without having to fear that articles that you have already selected will be lost. You will be guided through the shopping basket system step by step.

Below please find some general information on our ordering system:

Shipping costs

There are no separate shipping costs.

Sender

Your request can only be processed if you enter your full details (including your e-mail address).

Delivery time

We will send you the brochure(s) as quickly as possible. Our shipping department will dispatch them five working days after receipt of your order at the very latest. Mail sent at printed paper rates usually takes a further three to eight working days to reach its destination. However, we have learnt through experience that these consignments can be delayed.

Brochures subject to a nominal charge

If an order is subject to a nominal fee, this will be indicated in the shopping basket. For these orders, the following particularities apply:

  • Prices
    The nominal fee mentioned is the amount payable by you. It is not subject to VAT. The total sum is calculated by the shopping basket system. The sum to be paid will show when you have filled your shopping basket and/or if you click “Your selection”.
  • Formation of a contract
    Once you have sent your order to us, you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your order with all relevant details (wording of the contract). The purchasing contract concluded on the basis of your order takes effect when we ship the goods.
  • Payment
    The brochure(s) will be shipped with an invoice asking for bank transfer of the nominal charge to our bank account. The account details will be mentioned in the invoice. Please do not send cash, checks or stamps.
  • Right of return (revocation instructions)
    You can revoke your order within two weeks without giving any reason, simply by sending the brochure(s) back to us. The revocation term starts with the receipt of these instructions at the earliest. In order to meet the revocation deadline, just send the brochure(s) to the following address on time: Bundesverband deutscher Banken e. V., Postfach 04 03 07, 10062 Berlin, Germany.
  • Consequences of revocation
    In the case of an effective revocation each party has to return the goods and/or services received. If the brochure(s) received can only be returned in part or in a deteriorated condition, you may be liable to compensation for lost value. This does not apply in the case of the handing over of the brochure(s) for use, if the deterioration is only due to your checking them as you would have been able to do when buying in a shop. You can avoid the compensation for lost value by not using them like your possession and by avoiding actions that would compromise their value. When sending back brochures with a value of up to 40 euros, you will have to pay the shipping costs, if the brochures sent are identical to the ones you ordered. Otherwise, the return will be free of charge to you.

    We would appreciate if you could include the invoice for the nominal charge or mention its number.
  • Warranty
    Should a brochure exceptionally be sent out in faulty condition, you can send it back and receive a new copy or get a refund for the nominal charge.

    Should you have any complaints or wish to make use of your right to return, please use the ordering address.

 

Privacy/Data Protection

Privacy Statement

In order to process your order and send you the brochure(s) we need your first name, last name, street address, postal code, city,country and e-mail address. This data will solely be used by us and our service provider for the purpose of processing your order. After the brochure(s) ordered has/have been sent out by mail, the data will be deleted within a month, or, in the case of orders subject to a nominal fee, one month after payment has been received.

Notes on the use of cookies
