Banking Technology and Security

We deal with technologies for use by banks and in the banking business.

Our work focuses primarily on the further development of business processes, the establishment and further development of infrastructures through digital technologies as well as the integration of innovative solutions such as biometrics, open banking, cloud services, etc. Protecting the interests of our member banks in the development of national, European and global standards and specifications is another important part of our tasks. In addition, we monitor current market developments in order to identify technological trends and communicate them to our members.

Security in banking and the trust it builds in a bank are essential. The topics we deal with are very diverse: from questions of information security in banking processes and products, securing the financial sector against cyber attacks, protecting critical infrastructures to the effects of quantum computers and the further development of cryptographic procedures in the banking industry. In doing so, we support our member companies in numerous national and international regulatory proceedings as well as in consumer education on cyber risks.
